Not only will it feature every character you\u2019ve ever heard of, it will also include several you absolutely have not.<\/p>\n<p>The trailer teased <strong>Robert Downey Jr.<\/strong> as <strong>Doctor Doom<\/strong>, \u201cthe most powerful villain yet.\u201d Which usually ends with him standing there while 14 people hit him at once.<\/p>\n<p>But the real shock came when Marvel introduced a new wave of heroes to \u201cbalance the universe,\u201d including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Captain Mild Discomfort<\/strong>, who senses when someone feels \u201ca little off\u201d<\/li>\n<li><strong>The Human Spreadsheet<\/strong>, who can calculate anything instantly but insists on showing his work on paper<\/li>\n<li><strong>Doctor Eh<\/strong>, who heals people by saying, \u201cEh. You\u2019ll be fine\u201d<\/li>\n<li><strong>The Beige Panther<\/strong>, whose power is blending into any room and turning it incredibly bland<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The footage showed returning heroes like <strong>Thor<\/strong>, <strong>Spiderman<\/strong>, and <strong>Steve Rogers<\/strong> (who makes his dramatic comeback) standing side-by-side with new recruits like <strong>Invisible Jeff<\/strong>, whose only ability is becoming invisible when he feels threatened, and <strong>Magneto\u2019s Intern<\/strong>, who can move staples, paperclips, and smaller pieces of aluminum foil, but only if <strong>Magneto <\/strong>lets him wear the helmet.<\/p>\n<p>At one point, <strong>Professor Xavier<\/strong> warns, \u201cWe are facing an unthinkable decision,\u201d immediately followed by <strong>Ant-Man<\/strong> asking, \u201cWait, who invited that guy?\u201d while pointing at a man in a cape and khakis labeled simply as <strong>\u201cScott.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Marvel executives insisted the film raises the stakes.<\/p>\n<p>The trailer ends with Doctor Doom standing over the <strong>Avengers<\/strong>, declaring, \u201cYou cannot stop what is coming,\u201d before being cut off by <strong>The Pontificatour<\/strong>, a polite British hero who asks villains to completely explain themselves when making threats so everyone understands entirely.<\/p>\n<p><em>Avengers: Doomsday<\/em> arrives this December.
