It might be fair to say that the most popular movie genre going right now is Superheroes and Super Villains. Between Marvel and DC Comics there is a running total of over 27,000 characters in their database put together. Not to mention independent movies like; “Kick Ass,” “Unbreakable,” and “Hancock.”

Maybe the biggest flop superhero movie ever was “The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.” So as the formula goes in Hollywood, it’s time for a reboot… with a twist.

The original “League” was a mashup of literary characters with particular talents, such as Allan Quartermain, the Invisible Man, Dorian Gray, Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde, Captain Nemo, and Tom Sawyer. The reboot will be retitled, “The League of Completely Ordinary Gentleman, and a Baby.” A mashup of more common people with more ordinary talents, and a baby.

The character list will consist of:

The Joke Killer – a failed stand-up comedian that explains his jokes when they fail or adds extremely detailed comments to others’ jokes for far too long, making them unfunny, until his victim is left drained of energy.

The One-Upper – a socialite wannabe that immediately chimes in at the end of anyone’s story with, “That’s nothing, listen to this,” and tells a story that drags on until her victim is left drained of energy.

The Pointer Outer – a former Hollywood Tour Guide that will point out everything from car dealerships to restaurants to park benches to trees to dogs to buses to billboards to airplanes to houses to joggers to gas stations… until his victim is left drained of energy.

The CGI Animated Baby who can speak but only says, “Well that’s as funny as my diaper rash!”

And several other characters that have yet to have been revealed.

As there has been a rumored dilemma about finding a director for the film, there is no current release date. As told to MPL by an inside source, “No one in his right mind would touch this piece of shit.”
