Alternative Parenting Style Works

John Notsonice realized his kids needed a change based on life experiences. Every time he told his daughter she was beautiful, she always downplayed it. When she had a great softball game and was All State, she didn’t want the accolade. That is when Mr. Notsonice developed a better way to raise his daughter Laura. Here is what he had to say about those years of parenting, “Once she hit 16, I stopped with all the compliments…I told her she look subpar when she looked great….when she was All American on the baseball diamond…..I said “Big whoop”……when she got straight A’s, I said to her that I wish she could have done better….when she got into Harvard I told her there are better places to go to school in Europe…..today, she continues to want to overachieve……she hates me…..but she is going to be the first women to land and live on Mars next week because of my parenting style….I still can’t believe this worked!!!”
