Baby Tooth Birth

San Diego, CA. August 2023
A little girl from Youngstown, Ohio buried her first baby tooth in her mom’s vegetable garden with the hopes of growing a brother she actually likes from the garden.
Stephie doesn’t really like her little brother all that much. When her tooth fell out, she had a request to mommy. “Can I bury my tooth in the back yard, water it every day, and watch it grow into a brother I like? James is a jerk. He pushes me all the time, just because I’m smaller, and I don’t like that. And you always water your vegetables with love,so I thought maybe the garden can grow me a brother the same way you told us the garden grew me and James.”
While Mom smiled and nodded, she thought, “Why not? Every once and a while that little punk gets on my nerves, so why not let Stephie have a little fun w this.”
Every day for the next two weeks, Stephie and Mommy would go outside and water the tooth. Mom decides to continue the storyline a little further, just for fun. Stephie goes to the vegetable garden by herself the next morning as she tells Mommy “That’s ok, Mommy,
I know you’re making me breakfast, so I’ll go out and water the tooth myself.
As Stephie grabs the watering can, which is placed just outside the garden, she walks to
where the tooth is buried, begins watering the tooth and notices the top of a
peanut sized hand growing upwards from the garden.
“Ahhhhhhh!” Stephie screams, and runs back in a panic to her mom, who is just finishing
making pancakes for Stephie.
“Mom, mom, oh my god, come to the garden, like now. There’s a baby hand growing up
from where we buried the tooth.”
Mom and Stephie rush to the garden, Mom peers down and reaches for the tiny hand. Mom pulls the hand up from the dirt, revealing a filthy Barbie doll, hair matted, dirt covered dress, and head spun completely backwards.
“JAMES! Get your ass out here! Now!”
“What, mom?” says James, smirking.
“What the hell is wrong with you?’ You scared your sister to death!
“If she wants to think babies came from the ground, I’m gonna foster that!”
“James, you are SO grounded.”
“Definitely worth it,’ said James, as he walks back into the house, grinning the whole time.
“Definitely worth it”
