Bear Sighting in Arcadia, California

Last Friday, a bear was seen strolling down the street in Arcadia, CA. It was captured on video, alone and wandering on the sidewalk.
Experts said residents around the greater San Gabriel Valley can expect more bear encounters in their neighborhoods as the weather warms up.
Roberto Oh, Game Warden of Arcadia said, “Everyone please be careful with bears! This is not a game. No part of this is a game. Although my title is Game Warden, and yeah we live in Arcadia, this is not an arcade and not a game.”
Huge Ackman, President of the San Gabriel Valley Humane Society stated, “If you are cold, they are cold. If you see a bear roaming at night, please, bring them into your home. Remember, the bigger they are the more well fed they are, and thus not harmful to humans at all. This particular one looked stuffed. I mean she was real, not a toy, but just very full. But still looked stuffed, soft and all cuddly-like. Anyways, please leave a key under the rug so the bear can always get in even if you are not home. And leave some beef jerky under the rug also, so the bear remembers where it is.”
Glenda Goldman, President of the Arcadia Chamber of Commerce noted, “If you watch to the end of the video, the bear enters our Arcadia Shops and then runs off. You see that? I’ve been telling people that our prices are too high. Now we know it’s unbearable even to bears!”
The homeless community has already adopted the bear and named it, Joan, of Arcadia. They said, “She is welcome here anytime. Homeless people, and bears, have rights you know? We have the same bear necessities. Get it? Humans and bears living hand in hand? It’s very Paws-able. I said Paws-able. LOL. Make sure you write it down just like that…”
People are reminded to remain vigilant, secure trash cans, and keep pet food and their favorite children indoors.
