Bend Oregon’s Extended Area Transit (BEAT) is ready to celebrate its 20th year of service next year.
In celebration of the benchmark, Bend will plan many events and also announce that they will create a system to connect to Medford’s Extended Area Transit.
Critics say it will be hard to do, but the two cities promise it will be done, even though they aren’t exactly neighboring cities right now.
Bend’s City Councilman Matty “Hippy” Keurig stated clearly, “Bend and Medford will be celebrating the marriage of our Extended Area Transits fully by 2024 or 2025.
And believe me, the citizens of both cities are really looking forward to the BEAT/MEAT campaign…
Our people will be celebrating together, lending their hands to each other!”
