Benita’s Brownies

Benita Applebaum, has just received the key the city in High view, Virginia. Mayor Blunt said “We wanted to honor Benita for her 30yrs of service at Mary Jane Middle School. She has served as the head of the cafeteria for the last 20 years and still bakes her famous brownies. She will be missed.”
Benita accepted the key and graciously accepted the award saying “I thought for sure that 20 years ago when I first made the pot brownies that I would be in jail. Turns out, the kids love them, unfortunately I don’t have many left after all of the staff get their fill. This has to be the most chill place to work, you never see any fights, except over the brownies. I did try to add crack to the chili but the shit got crazy, so I just stick to the brownies.”
We followed up with Mayor Blunt for further comment, he declined but was seen eating brownies with police chief Ronald Reefer.
Retired Benita, is now happier than ever and high on life as well as her brownies.
