Blind Surgical Medical School

The Meredith Oswald School for the blind has recently expanded their educational offering and is now opening up a medical school. The medical school is dedicated to those around the world who lack the ability to see but see no obstacles from becoming whoever and whatever they want to become. Theresa Delmar is the head of the medical school and explained their new offerings, “Here at Meredith Oswald School for the blind we are excited to open our new surgical studies. The Helen Keller Surgical Studies Program is developing our next best and most talented surgeons in the world. It truly is a hands on approach to learning their way around a surgical procedure. Our students feel their way around a procedure and we believe are better equipped to handle, let’s say something like a bleed. Instead of looking for the bleed they guide their hands through the body cavity feeling for the cause instead of relying on their eyes like the other students at other schools do (students are allowed to receive hints..i.e. colder… colder… warmer…warmer). Our school is so competitive that we have had to kick several students out of our program because they faked being blind. The biggest hurdle our students have is finding their way around our hospital, as they recently changed it’s floor plan. We feel that this program is successful that we have proposed to expand our surgical program to Parkinson patients in an effort to shake things up if you will. We will let you know how that endeavor works out. We believe it has to workout better than using the Parkinson patients for clearing bed pans like we tried last year. I mean shit got really messy.
