Family Connects After 30 Years Apart

Trevor Hiden was reunited with his family after 30 years. Trevor was reported missing 30 years ago after not showing up to his 9th grade midterms. We interviewed Trevor to find out what happened, and he stated, “I just did not want to take my test, I wasn’t prepared and thought I could hide out for a week or so.” Trevor explained that his OCD kicked in and he said he got good at hiding. In fact, Trevor recalls being the Hide and Seek champion of 6th grade recess. “I became obsessed with not being found and it became super difficult when they put my picture on the milk cartons.
He lived a life like the guy from the movie Catch Me if You Can. He lied his way all through medical school and through his residency. He also was a janitor through med school solving super hard math problems.
When asked why he didn’t say anything or let his parents know he was ok, he said “They had already thrown me a great funeral and I did want to upset them anymore than I already have…plus I never studied for that midterm and would never be ready in time.” How did Trevor get caught?
Turns out he was at the Trauma center at Holy Cross Medical center performing surgery and when a car accident victim came in he said “Wait a second, I can’t perform surgery on this guy.” When asked why, he said, “This guy is my brother.” It caused a domino effect and allowed him to reunite with his family after 30 years. His brother survived the surgery and unfortunately there are multiple charges pending against Trevor, however he is currently on the run. Good luck to the police finding this 6th grade hide and seek champ. His parents just opened a hide and seek rec center in Alabama. They had this to say, “We are making racks on racks of cash……..where and who is Trevor?”
