Taco Bell announced today that it has signed a contract for a 25 year right to rename the US Supreme Court the Taco Bell Supreme Court. Few details of the deal were released, but confidential sources say that Justice Clarence Thomas has been personally negotiating this deal for a few years, and he and his wife will reportedly receive over $5 million per year from Taco Bell. MPL has contacted the Court asking for images of the new Taco Bell signage or other details of the deal. Sources also say that prior to negotiating the deal with Taco Bell, Thomas spent about a year negotiating to sell the rights to Chinese conservative billionaire Takova D. Wold, but they couldn’t reach an agreement. Justice Thomas has faced scrutiny in recent months for various questionable personal dealings with wealthy individuals that give him substantial financial gifts possibly in exchange for influence at the nation’s highest court.
