Little Mermaid Sluggish at Box Office

The Disney live action movie has made below the expected $400M, and may incur a loss. And it appears that the feature will fall far short of the previous remakes like “Beauty and the Beast” and “Aladdin.”
The movie featuring a black mermaid appears to be a hit in the US, but it isn’t doing as well internationally.
Disney Marketing Exec Matt Keurig said, “Who would’ve thought Little Mermaid would ‘tank?’ I mean we expected her best friend to Flounder, not the movie.”
Legal Advisor Wrad Beisman said, “There was a lot of pier-pressure. But I don’t want to get tide-down in politics. We shell overcome. But if you don’t like this movie, you are Human Rights anemones. Or, I guess Mermaid Rights? I don’t know, I need a side-bar with myself. Let’s sea what happens.”
Meanwhile Disney investors were furious. They weren’t shore on Disney and remained very shellfish. They refused to go with the float, and one of them named Robert Oh-Snap kept shouting, “That beach better get my money back!”
The only other market outside of the US where the movie is doing surprisingly well is in Asia. However, the tradition of butchering all translations is still rampant.
The hottest selling Little Mermaid shirt in Asia says, “Me love you long tide,” and people are loving it!
