Magical Mishaps: One Woman Dead After Illusion Gets All Too Real

Vegas – A nightmare scenario unfolded during a Wednesday matinee performance by local wonder and Siegfried and Roy pupil, David Tungstenfield, which left the audience scarred for life and his long-time assistant and ex-wife dead. Tungstenfield, also known as The Great David Tungstenfield, was performing the popular Saw the Assistant in Half trick, an illusion he and Nina Brass-Tungstenfield had literally done thousands of times, when tragedy struck and the trick went awry. Somehow the foot bindings were too tight for Nina to slip out of, preventing her from getting out of the way of the chainsaw blade. The blade proceeded to saw through her for real, spraying the audience with blood, and leaving Nina dead and everyone in attendance with a lifetime of inescapable nightmares. Tungstenfield was seen stammering around the stage, in shock, still holding the chainsaw until law enforcement converged on the stage. The investigation is on-going but two theories have emerged, the first one was proposed by Mr. Tungstenfield’s lawyer, and that is that Nina Brass-Tungstenfield had gained weight and was retaining water in her legs- the legal term used was cankles- which prevented her from escaping. This of course would extricate Mr. Tungstenfield from any legal wrongdoing in the case. The second theory, floated by law enforcement officials and the D.A. is that Tungstenfield purposely tightened the leg bindings and murdered Mrs. Brass-Tungstenfield in front of a live audience. No motive has been provided as to why Tungstenfield would murder his ex-wife and current assistant, but there were reports from TMZ that she had started seeing David Copperfield and was planning to join his show full-time. One thing is for certain, the show must go on, and that’s why Sigfried and Roy have agreed to take the matinee spot previously occupied by Tungstenfield, with all proceeds from the show going to the Brass-Tungstenfield kids.
