MLB Altanta Name

Just after Oakland A’s broadcaster Glen Kuiper misarticulated  the Negro baseball league during a broadcast, Atlanta baseball fans came up with a cringeworthy suggestion for replacing their current insensitive team name. Since the Cleveland baseball team and the Washington football teams changes their names over the past several years, the Atlanta baseball organization has been under pressure to rename itself.

The Atlanta Slaves was suggested on the teams fan page by numerous fans. The fans claimed that the new name would pay homage to Atlanta’s heritage, along with minimizing the cost to change uniform and logos.

The letter B would be replaced by the letters S and L, and the tomahawk would be replaced by a hammer visibly breaking a chain.
