You’ve heard the term momma’s boy, well 13 year old Ted Belsen of Lake Ida, Texas has taken this to a new level. Ted has been a source of controversy at Lake Lactate Middle School where he is an 8^th grader. Ted is calcium deficient and requires 3 to 4 cups of milk just to keep normal calcium levels. However Ted only drinks milk lactated by his mother Carol.  The term “straight from the tap” can be applied in this situation as Ted can only get the full amount of calcium by drinking straight from the source and is not a shy guy or is his mom. Lunch lady Lolita Hill says this is getting out of control as Carol is constantly available for his lunch at his table with her milk makers ready to go. While this has been controversial and been brought up at school board meetings, the Law is on the lactations side and this looks like a trend that will continue. Carol, has always said she will be there for Ted and is not going to back down. She claims that when she married Ted’s dad when he was 5, she stepped right in and will continue to do so as needed.
