Non Participation Trophy

The town of Winnersvile Ohio has adopted a new way of life inside their small city outside of Dayton. They no longer accept losing and they are trying to establish themselves as their name says winners. Mayor Winningham explained his town’s philosophy, “In Winnersville we don’t give out participation trophies or ribbons, if you lose you suck. In fact, we have developed a way to keep kids who shouldn’t be in sports out of it. If you are in it just for a trophy, well we have a non-participation trophy that we give to kids who should not be playing so we can encourage them to not to even try. If your kid is the idiot in left field with the glove on his head or picking daisies on the baseball field just to get that trophy, we kindly award them a non-participation trophy and a free admition to the community arts and craft program. The best part of it is, not only do they get the trophy they want and stay out of sports they shouldn’t even be in , but they end up crafting the next groups trophies. So the way we see it in Winnersvile, this is a win-win situation pun intended. If we wanted to be a bunch of losers, we would have changed our name to Weinersville.”
MediaPub.Live has followed up on this small town and found that they no longer have enough kids for their little league program after giving out 62 non-participation trophies. On a positive note, their community arts and crafts program are flourishing.
