Peanut Butter Murder
Share
Peanut butter killed a husband, wife and their dog and all 3 are connected. In a strange turn of events, a husband planned the murder of his wife of 30 years by killing her using her peanut allergy. In an elaborate plan, Mark Keiler was going to secretly put peanut butter on his wife’s personal massager and when she used it, the extreme peanut allergy would do its job. Unfortunately, for all involved, including their dog, this was a death trap. Mark used the peanut butter as planned, left town to have an alibi and ironically his wife also went to town using the personal massager. When Mark came home he found his wife and dog deceased. It turns out that the peanut butter not only killed his wife but the peanut butter was ingested by the dog, details of how have yet to be released, so use your imagination. Turns out, the peanut butter also contained Xylitol, an ingredient that sweetens peanut butter but is also highly toxic to dogs. The dog unfortunately died as a result of the Xylitol.
Despite his alibi, investigators were able tie everything together and Mark was immediately arrested. After a 4-month trial Mark was convicted and sentenced to death for the murder of his wife and dog. The sad part of the story was that the autopsy revealed Mark’s wife had stage 4 cancer and probably would have died anyways within 6 months. All this could have been avoided and their dog Skippy would still be alive.
