Rob Lowes Stand In

The life of Rob Lowe’s stand in has been a difficult one for Harold Pitts. Harry as he likes to be called has been Rob Lowe’s stand in for the last 30 years and explained to MPL the hardships of his lifetime job, “For the last 30 years I could hardly go out in public with out being mistaken for Rob. I would get mobbed by the ladies and some guy named Brad and they would rip my shirt off and try and cut a lock of my hair off. It has been a difficult path but one that I chose willingly. I never realized what I signed up for when I was the stand in for Sodapop Curtis on the set of the Outsiders. I truly thought it would be a onetime gig, but no, Rob was very superstitious and needed me to be the guy behind the guy to ensure his success would continue throughout his career. It definitely worked, at least that is what he believes and is what has kept me working behind the scenes for so many years. I have a hard time trying to stay with a woman, especially after they find out that I am not Rob. Sometimes I even get woman who use me to get to Rob, which is downright disgusting. It is hard enough being a 5 foot 3 350 lb black guy in this business.”
