Shyamalan’s Brother

Who doesn’t know M. Night Shyamalan?

He has given us incredible movies, such as “Signs” with Joaquin Phoenix and Mel Gibson, “Unbreakable” and “The Sixth Sense” with Bruce Willis, “The Village” with Adrien Brody and William Hurt, and most recently “Knock at the Cabin” with Dave Bautista and Rupert Grint. He is well-known for the incredible twists that he adds to the ends of his movies. He has truly made his mark on Hollywood and the Horror/Suspense genre.

But did you know that this cinematic genius has a twin brother. N. Sun Shyamalan. N. Sun is not as well-known and has tried his luck over the years as a musician, comic, magician, artist, dancer, magician again, mime, circus clown, bull fighter, and magician a third time.

He has now decided to follow in the footsteps of his older twin (by 14 minutes) and is throwing his hat into the movie writer/director industry. And he has just completed his first film screenplay.

It is a reboot of “Santa Claus Conquers the Martians”.

The original “Santa Claus Conquers the Martians” debuted in 1964 and starred John Call as Santa, Vincent Black as Voldar, Leonard Hicks as Kimar, and none other than Pia Zadora as Girmar.

In the movie, Momar (“Mom Martian”) and Kimar (“King Martian”) are worried that their children Girmar (“Girl Martian”) and Bomar (“Boy Martian”) are watching too much Earth television. They are especially upset when they catch the kids seeing an interview with Santa working with his elves in the North Pole. The Martians do not realize that there a thousands of fake Santas on Earth. They decide to kidnap two children to hold hostage until the real Santa comes to their rescue. Once Santa arrives, Voldar, who thinks the idea is a terrible one, repeatedly tries to kill the real Santa and the two Earth children. He tells the other Martians that Santa is hypnotizing the children of Mars and ruining the proud heritage of Mars. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah…In the end, it all works out and everybody become friends.

  1. Sun Shyamalan has adopted and rewritten the script and is putting a spin on his version.

SPOILER ALERT!!!

In this version the Martians are ultra-violent and immediately kill the kidnapped Earth children and devour them. They decide that Christmas is a good idea for Mars and Earth children will serve as their Candy Canes, Gingerbread, and Fruit Cakes. They go back to Earth and start kidnapping children by the thousands. They torment the children and keep them in tiny cells. They are basically turning them into human veal. They beat the children severely several times a day. Or in their words, “vlugify”, which in Martian means “tenderize”. The governments from around the World put a secret rescue alert out to Santa, as they all have the secret “SOS” signal (Santa Ole Santa) that directly beams to the North Pole. When Santa gets the communication, he is off and running, reindeer and all to Washington to meet with the President to find out his mission. He is told that he needs to get to Mars to save the children. Without haste he immediately sets Google Maps for the quickest route to the Red Planet and let Rudolph lead the way.

I am about to give you the spin that the younger Shyamalan puts on the film, so at this point stop reading if you don’t want to know the ending…

Santa is in fact from Mars and dines in pure ecstasy with his fellow Martians on the Earth children. So, in fact, he conquers Mars by becoming their greatest ally, and eventually rules the planet.

Shyamalan is shopping the screenplay around at the time that this article has been published. As of June 25th, no one has bought the script. However, he has started a Go-Fund-Me on Facebook and already has $33.61. $25.00 of which has been sent from MediaPub.Live.
