WBC: Mic-ed up with Champion Japan

New behind the scenes “mic-ed up” footage from the World Baseball Classic (WBC) has American baseball fans cracking up and Japanese fans terrified.
Tournament MVP, Shohei Ohtani, and perennial 2-way All-Star for the Los Angeles Angels, was recorded sharing insights to fellow teammates interested in leaving the land of the rising sun for greener pastures of the US. Ohtani is clearly heard providing the following sage advice:
- Stay away from Sushi restaurants more than 1 hour away from the ocean. DO NOT every try Asian Carp Sashimi or Philadelphia Rolls.. おぞましい !
- Gatorade is the same as Pocari Sweat but with bright colors
- Stay away from Uniqlo underwear sold in the US as they have more of a Roger Federer “tennis fit” rather than an Ichiro Suzuki “baseball fit.”
- 7Eleven is not the same as in Japan – that meat on a stick is NOT a fish cake.
- George Takei throws great pool parties that you absolutely go to!
- Be on high alert in New York City as the Asian Hate movement is strong there, so never stand near the edge of a subway platform.
- Buy a gun, go to the range, and always “pack your heat” because at any moment a Presidential executive order may be imposed to take away all of your freedoms and ship you to an internment camp just because you are Japanese.
