Steven Spark, , Chief Funny Officer (CFO)

Steve was born in 1914 in a small mining town in Peru.  He made his first millions in 1934 when he invented the spatula.  A few years later, he invented the letter w, making the English language much more better since then because more ws.  An avid book collector, he wrote a song about all the books he still wants, called, “When I think of you, I touch my shelf.”

Someone once asked him, if he could get rid of two things in this world, what would they be, and he replied, “1. Evil, 2. Speed bumps.”  Steve is a successful entrepreneur, accountant, writer, and music producer.  He once helped Scott Baio start a GoFonzme project.  He helped a new Paraguayan singer rebrand himself as Eddy Dinero and release “Two Tickets to Paraguay.”

Growing up, his heroes were Bruce Lee and Sarah Lee, and after a lifetime of training he now cooks like Bruce Lee and fights like Sarah Lee.

His hobbies include reading, writing and arithmaticking.

Eric Porvaznik, Podcaster

Almost to be expected as the host of a podcast titled “All Over the Place,” host Eric Porvaznik’s journey to the Arizona desert, and eventually meeting up with MPL’s Brad Weisman, contained a few twists and turns. A native Pennsylvanian and Nittany Lion, along the many years and miles, Eric produced the 1970s baseball documentary “Looking for Oscar”; hosted numerous online TV and radio shows; managed and played in some LA bands (sadly years before acquiring his father’s vintage accordion); dabbled in stand-up; and while working at Disney, even got close to voicing Stitch and becoming Rick Moranis’ moose for “Brother Bear” before settling for backup sound-alike status. A man of a few credible foreign dialects, Eric’s eternally grateful for Brad’s faith to bring “All Over the Place” into the MPL family, and looks forward to promoting whichever project comes the show’s direction.

A baseball umpire of some repute (and a few state high school championships under his black patent leather belt), Eric would also like to remind coaches and fans, he doesn’t eject them when the situations arise. They eject themselves.

Michaels attended school at Cook County Municipal Detention Enrichment Class, Effingham Community Baking School, LeAndrew Ular Foster’s School of Television Repair, a second stint at the Cook County Municipal Detention Enrichment Class, and Arizona State University (as an Observer, not a Student).

Michaels began his career as an amateur OBGYN in Waupaca, Wisconsin, but was served with a cease and desist notice upon opening his own practice in the Steven’s Point Mall, next to House of Potpourri and Fish ‘R Us.

He later explored a career in mental therapy, as well as a becoming a behavioral analyst. He started his practice as a Professional Unlicensed Mentalist in Yuma, Arizona, but was asked to take his folding chairs and card table and vacate the corner of the YMCA basketball court.

Amy Lee Kite

Amy Lee Kite is an author, poet, content writer, social media strategist and mom of three humans and three dogs. Amy attended the University of Illinois in lovely Champaign/Urbana before driving off to Aspen, Colorado for a year of work, soul searching and hiking. The cornfields apparently won out as she returned home after several months to the Midwest to get her Masters from The Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University.

Upon graduation, she worked as the Managing Editor of a New York Times’ supplemental travel magazine. Her job took her around the world, and all throughout her journeys, she wrote poetry, journaled and had numerous magazine articles published.

Amy currently writes poetry, lyrics, blogs, short stories and children’s books. She also manages several social media accounts, writes press releases and creates web copy. To keep her creative writing juices flowing, she writes on Medium and also has a newsletter on Substack called Ocean in a Drop (after her adored poet Rumi), where she shares her musings about life, meaning and moments. “You are not a drop in the ocean, you are the ocean in a drop.”

After 99 rejections, Amy finally got her poetry published in literary journals and also had a compilation of her poetry published called “Love, Lust and Lunacy: A Poet’s Inner Dialogue.” On the other side of the spectrum, she has published three children’s books on tough topics. Her book “Cancer, Cancer Go Away” received a Mom’s Choice Award; her book “Divorce: What About Me” has helped many children go through a difficult process; and her book “Goodby Gus” tackles the subject of death and grief as a child processes the loss of her dog.

This multiple-faceted aspect of Amy is a common thread: from the cornfields to the mountains … from sensual poetry to healing children’s books … from the frequent playing of Beethoven to her obsession with Kendrick Lamar. (She also loves Thom Yorke, Snoop Dogg and 50 Cent, knows they are age-appropriate and hasn’t given up on those future partner possibilities. Her boyfriend knows and accepts this reality.)

Robert Oh, Diplomatic Advisor

Generational trauma from colonial oppression, indifferent rejection of ancestral familial duties and peculiar unconventional travel destinations have influenced and  inspired Robert Oh’s life and career as a Sunday afternoon ghost writer and Monday morning doodler. Bob Oh as referred to him by those closest to him brings decades of sardonic comedic observation and an unhealthy addiction to optimism to the MPB life advising team.
