Inflation Continues to Affect Outside Store Signage For Retailer Five Below

Share

Inflation continues to affect prices on consumer goods at retail. Five Below has been known to have a variety of goods priced at five dollars or less. However, steady inflation keeps kicking up prices and simultaneously forcing the store to change its store signage. Currently “Seventy Five Below” is the most current signage and expected to change once again next month. There is concern that signage changes from inflation will impact the retailer. We spoke with a store manager out in Beverly, Illinois and here is what he had to say, “It is terrible, however I have told the kids a five finger discount puts the pricing in the most desirable place for the consumer and it still has the number five in it. I suggested Five Finger Discount and was fired immediately. I never have personally paid more than five dollars for anything in the store or I should stay stores. So far, I have robbed five stores. The prices I have never paid have been favorable and not been impacted by inflation at all.”
