As groceries and many consumer products increase in price, Walmart wants to remain competitive. Self checkout is designed for customers to steal as much as they can. At the bottom of your receipt, consumers can now see “Theft Savings”. This was implemented years ago and Walmart Loss Prevention has stated it is a VERY successful program. Customers shopping passed 8pm can now be fitted for bullet proof vests upon entry into the store. Walmart is more than savings, it is a little about theft and customer protection.
